How do I create awards for my team?
Click "Create Awards" and follow the 5-step wizard: enter your team info, add your players, assign awards (manually or with AI help), preview your certificates, and download the PDF.
Do I need to create an account?
No. Award Generator works entirely in your browser — no sign-up, no login. Your progress is saved automatically in your browser so you can come back later.
What sports are supported?
We currently support baseball, softball, soccer, basketball, football, and volleyball. Each sport comes with its own set of award presets and AI suggestions tailored to that sport.
How does the AI award suggestion feature work?
On the Awards step, click "Get AI Suggestions" and our AI will generate unique, creative award names for each player. You can accept, edit, or replace any suggestion. The AI uses your sport selection to provide relevant suggestions.
Can I customize the certificate colors?
Yes! On the Preview step, you can choose from 6 color presets (Gold Standard, Royal Blue, Crimson, Emerald, Midnight, Sunset) or use the custom color pickers to set your own border, heading, and award text colors.
Can I add my team logo to the certificates?
Absolutely. On the Preview step, choose "Custom Logo" as the background option and upload your team logo (PNG, JPG, or SVG, under 5MB). The logo appears as a subtle watermark behind the certificate text.
What print layouts are available?
Three layouts: 1 certificate per page (landscape, full size), 2 per page (portrait, stacked), or 4 per page (landscape, 2x2 grid). Choose based on how many certificates you need to print.
How do I add a coach signature?
On the Team Info step, use the signature pad at the bottom of the form. Draw your signature with your mouse or finger (on touch devices). The signature will appear on every certificate.
Can I import my roster from a spreadsheet?
Yes. On the Players step, click "Import CSV" and upload a CSV file with columns for Name, Number, Award, and Notes. You can also download a sample CSV template to get started.
What if the PDF takes too long to generate?
PDF generation typically takes 5-15 seconds depending on the number of players. If you have a large roster (20+ players), it may take up to 30 seconds. The progress bar shows real-time status. If it fails, try again — the first generation after a while can be slower.
Is my data safe?
Your data stays in your browser (localStorage) and is never sent to our servers, except when you use AI suggestions (only player names are sent, securely). We don't track you or sell any data. See our Privacy Policy for details.
I accidentally cleared my data. Can I recover it?
If you clicked "Start Fresh" within the last 24 hours, you'll see a recovery banner on the homepage offering to restore your previous data. After 24 hours, the backup is automatically deleted.
